Each summer, students in our two-year master’s programs apply their classroom learning through meaningful public service summer internships. This year, students completed internships in various states and countries—from Pennsylvania to Oregon, Kenya to Cambodia—and worked for organizations ranging from Duolingo to the Rwanda Development Board to the United Nations.
To help aid students on their journeys to deepen their experience and develop new skills, Harvard Kennedy School administers the Summer Internship Fund, which provides financial support for students in two-year programs undertaking unpaid or minimally paid public or nonprofit sector internships.
We took time to ask some students about their experiences in their respective fields. Read below to find out more about where some of our students worked this summer and what they learned.
