By Senior Program Coordinator Walid Haida and Faculty Director John Haigh, Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government
The research centers at Harvard Kennedy School are a great resource for students to get involved with real-world policy issues. The mission of the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government (M-RCBG) is to advance the state of knowledge and policy analysis concerning some of society’s most challenging problems at the interface of the public and private sectors.
Senior Program Coordinator Walid Haida and Faculty Director John Haigh discuss the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government and the various ways incoming students can engage with its initiatives and opportunities.
What work does the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government focus on?
We focus on the critical intersection of public policy and private enterprise, where government and markets continually shape one another to advance public value.
At M-RCBG, our faculty, fellows, and students work on digital currency and fintech, healthcare and health policy, the regulation of technology platforms, growth and industrial policy, and the future of capitalism. We place particular emphasis on supporting research that influences the creation of solutions that are scientifically grounded, economically efficient, and politically practical for decision-makers in both business and government.
