Under the strategic direction of its Executive Committee, the HKS Alumni Board set its 2021–2022 committees and priorities to serve the alumni community. The Recognition and Communications Committee launched the annual Alumni Awards this week—we encourage you to nominate your fellow alumni for their extraordinary work in the field. In the new year, please look out for additional email announcements regarding opportunities to self-nominate for the 2022 Board selection process. Additionally, the HKS Alumni Board is pleased to welcome the following new appointments: Paul Heroux MPA 2011 and two Kennedy School Student Government (KSSG) liaisons. The inaugural partnership with KSSG was implemented to further enhance the bridge between students and alumni in our efforts to connect with our newly minted alumni.

Engagement and Continuing Education Pilot Committee is focused on building programming specific to alumni career and recreational interests and provide education rooted in HKS in these areas.
Connections and Mentoring Committee strengthens connections with HKS alumni and students. Building on the success of the 2021 Student-Alumni Mentoring pilot, this committee will expand the networking program into additional regions and affinities. In addition, members will identify pathways for lifelong alumni engagement and leadership development, and support talent sourcing year-round.
Recognition and Communications Committee identifies, develops, and shares alumni achievements and profiles that inspire others and focus on alumni contributions that are representative of the School’s core mission and values. In addition, it will seek, select, and present the annual Alumni Awards during Reunion Weekend.
Diversity and Enrollment Committee integrates diverse, equitable, inclusive, and belonging best practices for Board committees and initiatives; the committee also established a framework for alumni admissions volunteers to assist Enrollment Services and the Alumni Relations Office with their diversity recruiting efforts.
Reunion and Annual Meeting Committee provides feedback on Reunion 2022 and develops programming for the annual alumni meeting.
Nominating Committee will facilitate the 2022 Alumni Board Elections in partnership with the Alumni Relations Office.
