Harvard Kennedy School faculty member Pippa Norris has been elected as Fellow to the British Academy for her contributions to the field of political science.
Norris, the Paul F. McGuire Lecturer in Comparative Politics at HKS, has taught at Harvard for three decades and is the founding director of the Electoral Integrity Project. Her work compares democracy, public opinion, elections, political communications, and gender politics worldwide. She has published nearly fifty books, the most recent of which is In Praise of Skepticism: Trust but Verify (Oxford).
In addition to her recent election as a Fellow to the British Academy, other major honors include the Johan Skytte Prize in Political Science, the Karl Deutsch Award, and Kathleen Fitzpatrick Australian Laureate. Norris was previously appointed as a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
