In the latest episode of Justice Matters, Vivek Krishnamurthy, Senior Fellow at the Carr Center, discusses the complex challenges of the human rights movement in the face of emerging technology and artificial intelligence.

 

Vivek Krishnamurthy is Counsel in the Boston office of Foley Hoag LLP and a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School. Vivek’s legal practice, teaching, and scholarship focus on the complex regulatory and human rights-related challenges facing businesses that operate across borders, both in cyberspace and in real space. He advises companies, governments, and activists on the human rights impacts of new technologies and is a frequent public commentator on emerging technology and public policy issues. Along with several Berkman Klein colleagues, Vivek is the co-author of a landmark study funded by the Government of Canada that evaluates the risks and opportunities for human rights that artificially intelligent systems present.
