Join host Sushma Raman and co-author William Schulz as they reflect on past, present, and future human rights frameworks, and discuss their latest book, The Coming Good Society.
Rights are not static. They change from generation to generation, evolving in parallel with changing norms and circumstances. We adapt rights to human history. To preserve and promote the good society–one that protects its members dignity and fosters an environment in which people will want to live–we must at times rethink the meanings of familiar rights, and continue the introduction of entirely new rights.
