Michelle Acampora is a Visiting Fellow at the Center for International Development at Harvard Kennedy School. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Zurich. Michelle’s research lies at the intersection of development and behavioral economics. She studies how market frictions and social incentives affect belief formation and individual behavior, from market participation to demand for mental healthcare. Michelle’s current focus is on the role played by stereotypes, stigma, and image concerns as barriers to mental healthcare seeking.
