Sebastian Garcia-Torres is a research fellow working with Prof. Eliana La Ferrara. His work focuses on gender norms in South Asia and on projects related to the integration of migrants into host communities. Prior to joining CID, Sebastian worked as a research assistant at the John F. Kennedy Institute of Freie Universität Berlin. He holds a BSc and an MSc in Economics from the same institution. His research interests include political economy, gender economics, economic history, and development economics. Previous work by Sebastian and his co-authors on women’s representation and the COVID-19 pandemic has been published in Economic Policy.
