CID PhD Affiliate, Concentrations in Development, Trade, Urban Economics, & Industrial Organization

I study development economics, with secondary interests in urban economics, trade, and industrial organization. My research centers on understanding the factors that influence the distribution of economic activity across space and the frictions that limit productivity growth in developing countries. My current projects aim to understand the structure of food distribution networks in urban settings, the sources of inefficiency in public spending by local governments, and the factors that allow for industrial upgrading in modern agriculture. While most of my work focuses on Latin America, I am open to studying similar themes in other regions.
