Shreya Tandon

My research interests lie at the intersection of public finance and development. I aim to use empirical evidence and theoretical frameworks to understand how fiscal and social policy tools can be used to reduce inequality across people and places. My current interests span tax administration and enforcement; the role of place-based policies and affordable housing schemes in promoting access to economic opportunities and advancing income mobility; women's labor force participation; and the role of social protection programs (such as cash transfers) and financial technology in mitigating the gendered impacts of climate change in developing countries.
