Yoly Yue Liu is a PhD student studying how education policies and interventions can advance sustainable human and societal development, with regional expertise in sub-Saharan Africa. She combines applied econometrics with field-based collaboration to design evidence-based solutions that reflect local visions of education and community development. Her recent research focuses on how locally driven initiatives, teaching practices, and teacher professional development in K-12 education systems can foster individual agency and broader systemic change.
