This paper summarizes findings from multiple waves of surveys conducted between mid-April and mid-September 2025 examining public understanding of trade and tariff policies in the United States. The surveys assess perceptions of tariffs, knowledge of trade policy, and partisan differences in policy preferences. The results highlight gaps in public understanding and reveal substantial heterogeneity in views shaped by political affiliation and economic beliefs.
