Antiretroviral Therapy Retention, Adherence, and Clinical Outcomes Among Postpartum Women with HIV in Nigeria

This study examines retention in care, antiretroviral therapy adherence, and clinical outcomes among postpartum women living with HIV in Nigeria. The authors analyze patterns of treatment continuation and health outcomes following childbirth, identifying factors associated with loss to follow-up and reduced adherence. The findings highlight ongoing challenges in sustaining HIV care during the postpartum period and underscore the importance of targeted interventions to improve maternal health outcomes and long-term HIV treatment engagement.
