Estimating Causal Effects on Psychological Networks Using Item Response Theory

This article proposes a methodological framework for estimating causal effects within psychological networks using item response theory (IRT). The authors integrate network modeling with latent variable approaches to better understand causal relationships among psychological constructs measured through survey or assessment items. The study contributes new statistical tools for improving causal inference and measurement precision in psychological and educational research.
