HIV-Related Stigma Among Young Men Who Have Sex with Men in HIV Care in Plateau State Nigeria

This study examines experiences of HIV-related stigma among young men who have sex with men (MSM) receiving HIV care in Plateau State, Nigeria. The authors investigate the prevalence and forms of stigma encountered in healthcare and social settings, as well as associations with mental health, treatment engagement, and healthcare utilization. The findings highlight the ongoing impact of social discrimination and structural barriers on HIV care outcomes among MSM populations and underscore the importance of stigma-reduction interventions and inclusive healthcare services.
