The Non-Communicable Disease e-Cohort for Hypertension in Latin America: Concept, Survey Development and Study Protocol

This article presents the concept, survey development process, and study protocol for a regional e-cohort focused on hypertension and noncommunicable diseases in Latin America. The study aims to generate longitudinal data on patient experiences, healthcare access, treatment adherence, and health outcomes using digital survey tools. The protocol highlights the importance of innovative cohort designs for strengthening chronic disease surveillance and informing health system improvements in low- and middle-income settings.
