This working paper examines how individuals and organizations share models or interpretive frameworks to make sense of data. The authors analyze how competing models shape beliefs, inference, and persuasion, showing that disagreements often arise not from differences in data itself but from differences in the frameworks used to interpret evidence. The paper contributes to research on information transmission, belief formation, and strategic communication in economics and organizations.
