Excerpt

March 25, 2026, Opinion: "Companies are missing out on AI’s value because they have not changed the way work is organized around it. Treating AI agents less like new technology and more like employees—with defined roles, clear boundaries, explicit accountability, and regular evaluation—helps leaders decide what should be done by humans versus machines. It also helps makes AI’s contribution easier for people to understand and improves adoption by presenting agents as solutions to concrete workplace frustrations. As organizations introduce agents gradually, monitor them against clear performance standards, and keep humans responsible for oversight and risk, they can reduce confusion, build trust, and create a management system that lets them capture AI’s immediate benefits while preparing for much broader use ahead."
