2022, Paper: "Today, five U.S. firms have reached a market value rarely seen in capitalist economies in the last century. These five are Amazon, Apple, Google, Facebook, and Microsoft. Their prominence and profitability have motivated many calls to apply antitrust laws to their behavior, and, as it happens, most of these firms face one or more antitrust lawsuits in the near term. Some commentators do not regard these lawsuits as sufficient. Several bills have been proposed in Congress to modify existing antitrust laws. Some contain provisions that aim directly at the big five, while some contain broad changes to the legal principles for all antitrust."
