Sophie Feintuch is the 2016-17 Academic Year Criminal Justice Fellow. Sophie is pursuing a Master in Public Policy (MPP) at Harvard Kennedy School (HKS). She is interested in designing evidence-based programs and policies to promote child-friendly justice internationally. Before attending HKS Sophie directed the Children's Rights and Child Protection Program at Human Rights Education Associates (HREA) in the Netherlands. Prior to working at HREA, Sophie conducted qualitative research on mothers and children in prison in Bolivia, Spain, and the U.S. She has also worked in the Economic and Social Policy Department of UNICEF in Panama and in several NGOs in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Sophie graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Sociology from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She also holds a dual M.A. in Women's and Gender Studies from the Universidad de Granada (Spain) and Central European University (Hungary).
