Upcoming Event | Economics and Beyond

The Reimagining the Economy Project invites you to a conversation with economist Raj Chetty and political philosopher Michael Sandel, moderated by Professor Dani Rodrik, Faculty Co-Director of the Reimagining the Economy Project.

A critical objective of our project is to use a multidisciplinary approach to understand and interpret the range of economic crises we face today, as well as the experiments underway to help address these.  This requires us to go beyond the conventional wisdom of the economics discipline. Our Economics and Beyond series is an effort in this direction. Through these conversations we hope to understand our economy through a much broader lens, to identify the inequality-perpetuating features of existing institutions, interpret successful institutional arrangements, and develop alternative institutional trajectories for the future. Conceptualizers and theorists are required not only to make sense of data; they are needed to help us imagine possibilities that are far from current practices.
