The impacts of climate change are already being felt in nearly every policy domain. In the coming years, almost every facet of our lives will be affected, from where we live to how we work and learn. As future decision makers, Harvard Kennedy School students have an important role to play in mitigating and adapting to climate change.
The Climate, Energy & Environment Professional Interest Council (CEEPIC) provides a focused community for HKS students to explore the complex challenges of the global climate crisis beyond the lecture hall. Each semester, CEEPIC organizes a variety of events related to climate, energy, and the environment that bring students together with faculty, policy makers, and subject matter experts. We also support our members’ professional development through recruiting fairs, skill workshops, working groups, and social events.
CEEPIC is open to all HKS students and the entire Harvard community. United by a passion for climate, energy, and environment issues, our members’ policy interests span a wide range of fields, including national security, diplomacy, public health, social movements, democracy, and countless more. We strive to ensure that the diversity of perspectives, expertise, and lived experiences among our members is represented in our programming.
