Campaigns and Elections in the United States

There are over 500,000 people serving in public office in America today ranging from the local official to president of the United States. The strategies and tactics deployed are more similar than you think. In this course you will venture onto the campaign trail, beginning with the day you’ve decided to run through Election Day. Students will examine the mechanics and practicalities of a political campaign. You will analyze past campaigns, historical and modern trends, while developing an understanding of all aspects included in the creation and execution of a modern campaign plan.
