Do you have what it takes to drive international and global initiatives from good idea to successful implementation?  Leaders in international and global affairs too often focus on developing a good idea or policy, but then assume that someone else will figure out implementation and execution.  This module focuses on an essential skill:  Getting Stuff Done.  The course will guide students on how to apply the most common analytic frameworks used to support policy execution in the private sector, military, government and non-government organizations, while referring to real-world cases in tracking their uses and limitations. The course will provide students with a collection of analytic and practical tools that will help them to design policy implementation plans, as well as lead and manage their execution. Skills in leadership and execution will be honed in an active, ongoing simulation exercise that kicks off on the first day of class and runs throughout the module. The instructor will synthesize his personal experience as a senior leader in government, non-profit and private sector organizations, but will also invite a diverse cast of successful leaders from around the world to contribute to the class, either in person or via video conference.

Please note, due to high HKS demand, MLD-105M will not have room for cross-registrants or auditors in Spring 2019.
