Graduates of the MPP Program are a versatile and accomplished group. They are purposeful and productive leaders of their communities, and make important contributions at every level of government in countries around the world. They lead change in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors — and many distinguish themselves in more than one of these sectors during the course of their careers.
More than 5,000 students have completed the MPP Program and have created a valuable alumni network. Read a recent Employment Overview Report for specific information about the career choices of recent Harvard Kennedy School graduates.

Executive Director, Initiative on Cities at Boston University
“The MPP experience was transformative. After 10 years in the private sector, I felt the two-year MPP would allow time to explore my interests in public service and reset my professional priorities. It led to the Boston Mayor's Office and the most rewarding job I’d ever had the privilege to undertake. Personally, I was inspired to find such a civic-minded, passionate and diverse group of classmates. I continue to marvel that I get to count myself among them.”
