We are in the process of creating a new and improved HKS financial assistance application that will be available via the same web portal (SLATE) through which you submitted your application for admission. We are excited by this improvement in the HKS financial assistance application experience for prospective students and look forward to its availability.
Since the majority of scholarship and fellowship opportunities are primarily based on merit, all prospective students are encouraged to apply regardless of financial need.
The application will go live on December 15th and Student Financial Services will email you when it is available for submission.
Through this new application you will have the opportunity to be considered for:
U.S. citizens and permanent residents who wish to be considered for need-sensitive scholarships and/or loans must also complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form online and have the results sent to the John F. Kennedy School of Government
Application Deadline: Friday, February 24, 2017
Please note that this deadline is prior to the notification of admissions decisions. It is extremely important that you apply by this deadline. If you do not apply by this deadline, you will not have the opportunity to be considered for financial assistance.
The Zuckerman Fellowship has a separate application and an earlier deadline of January 6, 2017.
There is no second-year application for financial assistance as the opportunity to be considered for financial assistance is prior to initial enrollment; this applies to those granted a deferral as well. There will not be an opportunity to re-apply for financial assistance after initial enrollment.
