Participants are admitted with the understanding they will be free from work responsibilities in order to devote their full attention to the program while in attendance. In order to receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the program, participants are expected to have attended all class sessions and participated in all group work and events.
If you can no longer attend a program, requests for withdrawing must be sent in writing to the program director. If you withdraw from a program less than three weeks prior to the start date of the program, you are obligated to pay the full tuition amount.
Program dates, fees, and faculty are subject to change. If a program is cancelled, Harvard Kennedy School will refund the program tuition in full but is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other expenses incurred by the participant.
As a program participant, you are responsible for securing the appropriate visas (B-1 visa) and travel documents needed to participate in this non-credit, non-degree program.
Once admitted to a program, the program director can provide you with documentation for your visa application. Please note that you should request a B-1 visa and not an F-1 student visa. That's because program participants are not considered full-time students at Harvard University, and are therefore not eligible for Harvard’s F-1 student visa sponsorship. Because the time required to obtain a visa can be lengthy, we encourage applicants from outside the United States to apply at least 12 weeks before the start date of each program.
