Participants are admitted with the understanding they will be free from work responsibilities in order to devote their full attention to the program while in attendance. In order to receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the program, participants are expected to have attended all class sessions and participated in all group work and events.
Withdrawal and Refund Policy
If you can no longer attend a program, a request for withdrawal must be submitted to the program director by email. Participants are eligible for a refund if the withdrawal request is received 21 days or more prior to the program start date. Participants who request to withdraw within 21 days of the start date are obligated to pay full tuition and are not eligible for a refund.
Program dates, fees, and faculty are subject to change. If a program is cancelled, Harvard Kennedy School will refund the program tuition in full but is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other expenses incurred by the participant.
As a program participant, you are responsible for securing the appropriate visa (B-1 visa) and travel documents needed to participate in this non-credit, non-degree program.
Once admitted to a program, the program director can provide you with documentation for your visa application. Please note that you should request a B-1 visa and not an F-1 student visa. That's because program participants are not considered full-time students at Harvard University, and are therefore not eligible for Harvard’s F-1 student visa sponsorship. Because the time required to obtain a visa can be lengthy, we encourage applicants from outside the United States to apply at least 12 weeks before the start date of each program.
