Session Description

Executive Certificate: This program is part of the Economic Development and Public Policy Executive Certificate series.

COVID-19’s Economic Impact and Crafting an Effective Policy Response is a four-day online program developed by Faculty Chair Jason Furman. This program is designed to assist in addressing the significant economic impacts of the current global health pandemic.

Professor Furman, former chair of Obama’s Council of Economic Advisors, will explore how national and central governments can proactively respond to these unprecedented times, including lessons from the 2008 financial crisis and looking forward on how to prepare for future crises.

Together with a global cohort, you will learn strategies and frameworks based on cutting-edge research from developed economies that can be applied to both developed and developing economies.

Hear from Faculty Chair Jason Furman
