You’re Here to Make a Difference

Donika Berisha Rizaj, Communication Officer at the Council of Europe Office in Pristina, has over 20 years of media and communications experience.

She started as an interpreter while she was a war refugee from Kosovo in North Macedonia, later transitioning to live on-camera interpreting, which led to her becoming a prime-time news anchor at one of Kosovo's largest national television stations. Simultaneously, she managed education projects at the British Council Kosovo Office, which inspired her to deepen her knowledge in communication strategies in international organizations at EULEX.

She brought her unique skillset to Harvard Kennedy School, where she earned her Executive Certificate in Public Policy through completing Persuasive Communication: Narrative, Evidence, and Impact, Leading Through the Changing Media Landscape, and Cybersecurity: The Intersection of Policy and Technology.
