American Inequality: How Government Measures of Economic Well-Being Inform Our Policy Debates Photo

This hybrid seminar will be given by Phil Gramm, former United States Senator and author of The Myth of American Inequality: How Government Biases Policy Debate. It will be moderated by M-RCBG Director Lawrence H. Summers.

Senator Gramm will discuss his research on how the government measures economic well-being which challenge the prevailing view that inequality and poverty are both very high. Gramm will outline how these measures inform our policy debates. Professor Summers will moderate the discussion.
Lunch will be served for those joining us in person in Malkin Penthouse (4th Floor Littauer Building). Others should register to join us remotely via Zoom.
