THIS INTERACTIVE WEBINAR HAS REACHED CAPACITY AND IS NO LONGER ACCEPTING NEW REGISTRATIONS.
Effective decision-making at the international level is critical during times of uncertainty and urgency. Over the past few months, the coronavirus pandemic has given us inspiring examples of coordinated international action - as well as dismal failures. This workshop led by Ed Balls & George Osborne, both former UK Government ministers and G20 summit attendees, will focus on coronavirus as a case study to build decision making skills for political and business leaders.
This virtual workshop will consist of two halves. The first half will involve a video presentation and discussion on how to get the G20, or any other international gathering, to reach agreement during crisis. The second half of the workshop will be dedicated to a participant role play conducted in small breakout groups, simulating a G20 conference to develop a cohesive action plan addressing the coronavirus pandemic.
Attendees to the workshop will be expected to read through a short (11 page) case study in advance of the workshop as well as prepare for the role play discussion (maximum expected preparation time 1-2 hours). The case study will be emailed to participants at least five days prior to the workshop.
Enrollment is limited. A recording of the Workshop will be posted at www.hks.harvard.edu/centers/mrcbg/news-events/event-calendar
