Join us for a conversation with nationally recognized labor activist, Ai-jen Poo! Ai-jen Poo is president of the National Domestic Workers Alliance, executive director of Caring Across Generations, and this year's recipient of the CPL Gleitsman Citizen Activist Award. She has dedicated her career to advocating for and advancing labor protections for domestic workers, by organizing and engaging various communities across the care continuum. She is a nationally recognized expert on elder and family care, the future of work, gender equality, immigration, narrative change, and grassroots organizing. Her work has resulted in policy changes across several states and cities, impacting the lives of over 2 million home care workers and counting.
This conversation, introduced by Phoebe Canagarajah MPP24 and moderated by Afreen Ahmed MPP25, will discuss how Ai-jen Poo engages with creating social change, with time for open student Q&A. Co-sponsored by the Center for Public Leadership and Social Policy PIC.
