Join the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy for our new “Carr in Conversation” series. This series will examine human rights issues both at home and abroad, bringing in a wide range of experts to participate in these discussions to help better understand these challenges and how to address them.

During this conversation, Professor Sikkink will speak with Camilo Umaña about his contribution to Colombia’s Peace negotiations via his role in the delegation of victims that participated in the Habana's negotiation, his involvement in the Colombian Truth Commission as one of the leading researchers and the Ministry of Justice, as deputy minister in charge of leading the transitional justice public policy. Specifically, Umaña will discuss innovative transitional justice methods used during the negotiation process, his work with victims and transitional institutions, the referendum, and the work he’s continuing to do at the Carr Center now.

This event is only open to Harvard ID holders. Preregistration for this event is required.
