This seminar will be given by Paul Rosen, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Investment Security. It will provide an overview of The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and how it operates to protect U.S. national security. The talk will include a discussion of modern deal structures and the global nature of deal-making activity. It will address advanced technologies like quantum, semi-conductors and artificial intelligence and how the government works to protect them through CFIUS reviews, as well as how the government thinks about foreign threat actors in the context of CFIUS.
This event will take place in Rubenstein 414AB for those with a Harvard ID who wish to attend in person. Lunch will be served. Note there is no virtual option for this seminar and it will not be recorded.
