CID is thrilled to host Adnan Khan, Chief Economist to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the UK; and Professor in Practice at the School of Public Policy, London School of Economics. Professor Khan will be joined by Professor Eliana La Ferrara, to moderate the discussion. Professor Khan will reflect on his new role at the FCDO and the transition from his prior position as an academic and researcher.
Audience questions are encouraged and will be solicited in advance as well as live during the event. While this event is catered for a student audience, all Harvard I.D holders are welcome. Pre-registration is mandatory and will close at room capacity. Priority is given to Harvard Kennedy School Masters in Public Administration and International Development students and mid-career Masters in Public Administration Mason Fellows.

Adnan Khan: Professor Adnan Khan is the Chief Economist and Director for Economics and Evaluation Directorate in the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). He is seconded from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where he is Professor in the School of Public Policy. Adnan has focused his career on advancing the understanding of development economics, political economy, entrepreneurship, and public sector reform. He has taught courses at the London School of Economics on development economics, public organisations, and political economy. He has taught at Harvard Kennedy School and has also been an Academic Director at the School of Public Policy.
