The Dangerous Story of Women and Data: How the Development Community Fails with a "Male Unless Otherwise Indicated" Approach Photo

CID Speaker Series presents Mara Bolis, Advisor at Value for Women. Mara is a seasoned leader with 25 years of experience in development finance, economics, business and policy advocacy dedicated to advancing women’s equality at home and around the world.

The development community's continuing failure to acknowledge and collect information about the differing experiences of men and women harms institutions and hurts women. If our community is serious about tackling inequality, its institutions must commit to organizational changes to disrupt the "Male Unless Otherwise Indicated" default.

This is a hybrid event open virtually to the public and in-person at the Harvard Kennedy School for members of the Harvard Community. Lunch will be served.
