Data + Donuts: Can AI Advance Responsible Policy Decisions?

Madison Coots is a fifth-year PhD candidate in Public Policy at HKS and a Stone PhD Scholar in Inequality and Wealth Concentration. She is also a researcher at the Computational Policy Lab. Coots's research interests lie in responsible AI, inequality, and the use of computational methods to advance decision-making and policy across a variety of domains, including in healthcare, lending, criminal justice, and education. Before beginning her PhD, Coots studied computer science (MS), management science and engineering (BS), and English literature (minor) at Stanford.

At this session of Data + Donuts, Coots will speak about the relationship between AI and responsible policy decision-making.

This talk will be given in a hybrid format. Harvard affiliates are invited to register to attend in person, while members of the public are invited to attend online.

Since 2018, Data + Donuts has featured researchers and practitioners speaking about how they use data in their work, and on issues of data and society.
