Join the Harvard Center for International Development (CID) for our Road to GEM speaker series to hear academics and practitioners discuss current development issues, recent projects, and their experiences with AI. Gulsanna Mamediieva is an experienced digital government and tech policy professional with expertise in foreign policy, EU integration, and economic development. She is a Fellow at the Better Governance Lab, Tech and Public Policy Program, and an Adjunct Professor at the McCourt School of Public Policy, Georgetown University. She previously served as Director General at the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and played a significant role in Ukraine's remarkable transformation in digital government. This talk explores how GovTech innovation evolved before and after the full-scale invasion, including the creation of the groundbreaking, award-winning superapp Diia (The Best Invention of 2024; Red Dot Award), which brought Ukraine to the forefront of digital government and inspired other countries to adopt its model.

Directly following the event, there will be a Career Chat with Gulsanna Mamediieva in the CID Perkins Conference Room (R429) from 1:15pm - 2:15pm. Register for the Speaker Series to ensure your seat (limited capacity).
