Join us for a bipartisan conversation with two Governors’ chiefs of staff exploring the leadership skills required to govern and effect policy when the opposing party controls the legislature. In this off-the-record conversation, we’ll hear from two experienced public servants who’ve helped their governors navigate divided government at the state level:

  • JoAnne Huls, Chief of Staff to Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D)
  • Matthew Clark, former Chief of Staff to former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan (R)

The conversation will be moderated by John Anzalone, founder of Impact Research and Hauser Leader at the Center for Public Leadership, who brings decades of experience in public opinion, campaigns, and political strategy.

This event is for Harvard ID holders and registration is required. Lunch will be served.
