weekly Business & Government Series.
Yuen Yuen Ang is the
author of How China Escaped the Poverty Trap (2016) and China's Gilded
Age: The Paradox of Economic Boom and Vast Corruption (2020). In 2021,
she was named by Apolitical among the Top 100 Most Influential Academics
in Government. She is also the inaugural recipient of the Theda Skocpol
Prize for Emerging Scholar from the American Political Science
Association for "impactful contributions to comparative politics."
