Father Patrick Devine, founder of The Shalom Center for Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation (Shalom-SCCRR), will discuss lessons learned from decades of conflict resolution work in eastern Africa. In conversation with Paula Soumaya Domit, MPP Candidate and International Consultant for Shalom-SCCRR, he will discuss Shalom's unique approach to conflict and structural violence. The organization works to tackle the root causes, as distinct from just dealing with the symptoms, of conflict through the creation of grassroots peacebuilding and conflict transformation networks.

Rev. Dr. Patrick Devine is a social entrepreneur and missionary priest with 30 years of experience helping to mitigate conflict and poverty in Africa. Fr.
