Join the Harvard Center for International Development (CID) for an exciting installment of our Friday speaker series featuring Augusto Lopez-Claros, an international economist and Executive Director of the Global Governance Forum. Augusto Lopez-Claros will share compelling findings from his Gender, Equality, and Governance report, offering data-driven insights into how drastically reducing gender discrimination can unlock human potential and ensure a more secure and prosperous future for all.

The event will be moderated by Eliana La Ferrara, a Kennedy School Professor of Public Policy. The discussion will explore critical issues surrounding gender discrimination—not merely as a violation of basic human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration and the UN Charter, but as a significant barrier to global prosperity and security. Please join us as we celebrate International Women's Day!

Directly following the speaker series event, there will be a Career Chat with Augusto Lopez-Claros in the CID Perkins Conference Room (R429) from 1:15pm - 2:15pm.

This event is open to the general public. Register for the Speaker Series to ensure your seat (limited capacity).
