The Global Education and Research: Unleashing Potential (GEAR:UP) initiative, based at the Harvard Center for International Development (CID), focuses on transforming education systems and developing personalized learning journeys at scale.
With the support of the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program, GEAR:UP respectfully invites your participation in panel discussion on Wednesday, September 18, from 3:30pm to 5:00pm at the Harvard Kennedy School. The panel will feature Education Ministers from a number of countries and focus on their experiences in scaling successful education programs. The panel will be on the record.
We will discuss the challenges of identifying programs that work, how to achieve scale equitably, and examples of past successes Ministers are able to share. Additional discussion topics may include the how recent evidence on personalized learning has been incorporated into national policies, the tensions between personalization and scale, the role of big data in education programs at scale, and the potential (and pitfalls) of AI tools in education.
