Act! Unite! Rise!
When people think of East Asia, they often picture the global appeal of K-pop, the captivating worlds of manga, or a high-tech society leading the way in robotics and digital innovation. They might also think of a vibrant food culture, from Hotpot, steaming bowls of ramen to the tangy kick of kimchi. Many assume that beneath this dynamic surface, conservative traditions leave little room for LGBTQ+ advocacy.
This narrative couldn't be further from the truth.
East Asian activists have wisely and resiliently built powerful communities, overcome immense barriers, and achieved amazing victories that could inspire the world—but the world just hasn't known about it. In this six-session webinar series, we will make these stories visible, showcasing the best practices, innovations, and resilience of LGBTQ+ activists in the region.
