Students from Harvard and other accredited universities are invited to participate in Hack-A-House, a 24-hour virtual hackathon to formulate and pitch innovative ideas to improve housing affordability. More than $12,000 in prizes will be awarded in the competition, which is hosted by Ivory Innovations, a housing-focused nonprofit based at the University of Utah.
Held over two days, the competition is hosted via Zoom, making it accessible for all students. Individuals can form teams, compete on their own, or ask to be placed on a team.
Participants are invited to watch the Friday afternoon kickoff at 2:00 pm at the Joint Center for Housing Studies offices at One Bow Street, 4th Floor (light refreshments will be available) and are welcome to stay and work at the Center until our office closes at 5:00 pm.
