As AI accelerates into every corner of the enterprise, the future workforce is not being replaced — it's being reconfigured. Automation will continue absorbing dangerous, dull, dirty, and difficult tasks, but the real transformation lies in how human roles evolve around judgment, creativity, problem-solving, ethics, and collaboration. Job descriptions will shift from task-based to capability-based, emphasizing adaptability, digital fluency, and cognitive range. Entire workflows will be redesigned, not to diminish human contribution, but to amplify it — creating new hybrid roles, new career paths, and a new division of labor between humans and intelligent machines. Understanding these shifts now allows us to design systems, policies, and skill pathways that protect human potential while accelerating the value AI can unlock.

In this context, M-RCBG Senior Fellow Sol Rashid will lead a study group discussion exploring how organizations can practically navigate this transition, redesign roles and workflows, and prepare their workforces for an AI-enabled future.
