Headshot of Ira Guha holding an Asan cup

Join the Women and Public Policy Program for a career conversation and lunch with Ira Guha MPP 2019, founder of Asan, a menstrual health venture working to end period poverty globally.

As a graduate student at HKS, Ira designed and patented the Asan menstrual cup -- a reusable period cup designed to end period poverty. She was also a Lara Warner Fellow at WAPPP working on Asan during one of her summers at HKS. Since its founding, Asan has enabled over 150,000 underserved women and girls around the world to safely attend school and work during periods, and has averted over 200 million plastic pads from landfills.

Join us as we welcome Ira back as a member of the HKS community and hear about her journey from identifying a global policy problem to designing, patenting, and scaling a tangible solution. The conversation will be moderated by WAPPP Director of Research and Programs Anisha Asundi. Lunch will be served.
