Intersex Rights Movement Today: Successes and Challenges

Intersex people represent approximately 1.7 percent of the global population, or 136 million people, born with variations of sex characteristics that don’t align with typical notions of either a female or male body. In recognition of Intersex Awareness Day (10/26) and Intersex Day of Solidarity (11/9) the Global LGBTQI+ Human Rights Program and Outright International invite you to a  webinar where we will explore the different forms of discrimination and violence suffered by intersex people globally and the global intersex rights movement, as well as recent successes and challenges, and provide an intimate space for Changemakers Network members to ask questions, share, and open dialogue about the “I” in the umbrella acronym.
