The Kennedy School Negotiation Project, a project of the Center for Public Leadership, brings you the 5th annual Kennedy Senate Simulation.

This year's simulation will thrust you into the heart of the United States Senate, embodying a real Senator as you grapple with politics, policy and loyalties. One hundred Senators will draft and debate crucial legislation with some surprises too. Welcome to the belly of the beast.

REGISTER HERE

All participants will be expected to have read their role and the draft legislation prior to the start of the simulation but there are no other formal requirements (other than for leadership and media, which are outlined below).

Registration is first come, first served, so make sure to sign up fast! If you don't make it in time, we will keep a waitlist.

Leadership Roles: When registering, you will be asked whether or not you would like to be considered for the role of a Senator who leads his or her respective caucus (i.e. Senator Mitch McConnell or Sen. Chuck Schumer). Leadership means a little extra work, but a lot of fun. Leadership will begin the simulation the week of October 28th with a mandatory briefing on procedure. A few days after this you will then be allowed to reach out to your constituencies for informal negotiating.

Media Roles: Registration will also give you the chance to indicate if you would like to be a part of the media team. The media team will also have a mandatory session on the week of October 28th to discuss strategy and get information from the simulation administrators.
