Nye B, T-520
Taubman Building, 5th Floor, Harvard Kennedy School
Please join us for a conversation over lunch with Daniel Gerding, Head of Project Finance at Breakthrough Energy catalyst’s program. Moderated by HKS MPA student Caleb Cunningham, this conversation will dive into how Daniel’s work, and organization, helps to scale Climate solutions. Daniel will take on what sectors of the economy he sees as most exciting, and how to bring the non dilutive/project finance that is needed, to the growing Climate industries that need them.
More about Breakthrough Energy:
Breakthrough Energy is Bill Gates' Climate Change-focused investment, market-building, and policy advocacy organization — created in partnership with Richard Branson, Bill Bloomberg, and a group of other business and philanthropic leaders. As a leading global voice on Climate issues, it has played a key role in driving investment and innovation into the Energy Transition, especially by supporting the invention and scaling of “breakthrough” technologies.
Breakthrough's "Catalyst" program focuses on bringing project finance and scalable infrastructure financing mechanisms — typically difficult for emerging technologies to access — to earlier-stage Climate technology ventures.
